  1. Jobs placed in queues should not be able to fall out automatically (when saved). This is dangerous for workflows - if items can "fallout" when a job is updated then things can be missed.
    Jobs placed in a queue should "stick" there until physically moved out manually by a staff member that is progressing that job. This means things stay in their folder until manually moved along/out and they cant fallout and be missed.

  2. As a larger company, we have thousands of outstanding quotes which slows our system down dramatically (currently we have over 5,000 work order jobs or quotes).
    Quote jobs either go from quote -> Work order -> completed OR stay as quote permanently.

    We use the unsuccessful status to alert us of jobs that need further works, which then goes from unsuccessful -> work order - > completed.

    As a result of using the system this way (which works almost-brilliantly) we then have a large amount of "open jobs" and slows down our entire system.

  4. Please add a way to add items to the daily schedule that aren't jobs (e.g business meetings - important appointments)

  5. it would be really helpful if you could minimize jobs instead of having to shut them down so you could come back to it later instead of having to open and close it all the time!!

  6. Hi Sm8 team, I personally dont use Stripe, and the biggest deterrent for me is the fees.
    However if there was a way for Stripe Fees to be automatically added or passed on the customers upon checkout with a credit card then this would be a much more desirable feature.

  8. Can there be flexibility such that the drop down for the addition of material/service can be either via "Item Code" or "Item Name". The sorting of this list is then based upon the drop down list selected.

  9. I have found a flaw in the servicem8 system.

    The diary is a great way to connect all employees to the job using photos, notes and attachments. It allows everyone from management to apprentices understand how the job is tracking, conversations with the builders and clients (as entered notes) and to be able to access plans on site.

    Whilst hiding all billing and all communications on the office level seems to be very effective, there is an issue with the system's naming of the notes it produces when creating partial invoices for each job.

  10. I get called out to a job address: Ask for a message with Full name, street address and email from the client to book in.

    99% of the time the client messages me details without an email or a certain detail missing.

    I will then create the job without the certain detail and not be able to update it while onsite/the new detail won't save updating it through the job on an Ipad.

    Servicem8 help said you cannot update clients info through the job/on an ipad... Why??

  14. When multiple calls arrive simultaneously and office staff members are assisting other callers, the calls would go in a holding place or queue in the order they are received with hold music until an available office staff can answer.

  16. At the moment all work orders show up as blue on the dispatch board. Could it be made possible that different categories of urgent jobs be made to show up differently so our staff can easily identify them?

  17. Having recently discovered live statements, it seems ridiculous that you cannot see a copy of the statement you send. Could it not be that a statement is emailed to your log-in email address at the same time it is sent to the client.

  18. We charge menu pricing which is materials and labour in one price, be good if we could add materials and services to a job and only have the services show on the invoice. This way we have a record of the materials used on the job, but dont show on the invoice.
